Chad Daybell Sentenced to Death for Murders

Guilty Verdict in First-Degree Murder Charges

WEB Chad Daybell, who was convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy charges, has been sentenced to death by a jury in Idaho. Daybell was found guilty of murdering his first wife, Tammy Daybell, and his two stepchildren, Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow, in 2019.

Details of the Case

The jury initially recommended that Daybell receive the death penalty on Thursday after hearing evidence of his involvement in the murders. The charges stem from a series of events that began in 2019, when Tylee and JJ were reported missing. Their bodies were later found buried on Daybell's property.

Daybell's first wife, Tammy, was found dead in her home just weeks before Tylee and JJ disappeared. Prosecutors alleged that Daybell murdered Tammy to make way for his relationship with Lori Vallow, who is also facing charges in the case.

During the trial, prosecutors presented evidence that Daybell believed in the "end of times" and had a motive to kill his family to prepare for it. The jury ultimately found him guilty on all charges.
